Carrying Crosses

This is quite heavy.
Where can I lay it?
Are you sure I'm supposed to carry this?
Certainly there's got to be a better way...
Seriously can we do something a little differently?
Do I really have to carry this?
Can there really be a purpose to this?

Mine was quite heavy too.
Should I have laid mine down?
It was carefully designed just for you.
This is the way that I have made for you.
Do you really want to be the lord of your life?
Did I have to carry that?
I make all things work according to my purposes, especially crosses.

Take up your cross and follow me.
It is good that the servant be as his Master.
Anyone who does not take his cross and follow me is not worthy of me.

Nice!

I'm assuming there's a speaker change between stanza 1 & 2?

That, my friend, is very Thomas A'Kempis-like. Very though-provoking.
